Rum Cocktails





PINA COLADA
TGI Friday's has a line of ready to serve cocktails and this is the easiest way to make the restaurant copycat since it is already mixed and bottled for you.


TROPICAL FRUIT COLADAS
Take your taste buds on a trip to the tropics with these refreshing frozen cocktails made with fruit puree  pina colada mix, Malibu Rum, and fresh pineapple. TGI Friday's choices  are  Passion Fruit, Peach or Strawberry flavors.  To  make these at home just add frozen fruit in the blender with your colada mix.


FIREWORKS COLADA

1 1/4 oz. rum
4 oz. Pina Colada mix
1 cup crushed ice
1 oz. Blue Curacao
6 cherries

Glass: Tall specialty

Garnish: Whipped cream and cherry

To get the speckled cherry affect, blend all ingredients as listed, except the cherries and blue curacao. Flash blend these into the mix for about 10-15 seconds. Then pour mixture into blue curacao.






MAI TAI
TGI Friday's Copycat Recpe

1 ½ ounces white rum
1 ounce Grand Marnier 
Juice of ½ lime
2 teaspoons almond syrup
1 teaspoon powdered sugar
1 teaspoon grenadine syrup (optional)

Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice. Add all the ingredients,cover, and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass with fresh ice

Here are some variations to this recipe:



  • APRICOT MAI TAI - Omit the Grand Marnier. Add 1 ounce apricot brandy before shaking.
  • CHERRY TREE MAI TAI -  Omit the grenadine syrup. Add ½ ounce cherry liqueur before shaking.
  • GOLDEN MAI TAI - Omit the grenadine syrup. Add ½ ounce cinnamon schnapps before shaking.
  • MONKEY MAI TAI -  Omit the grenadine syrup. Add ½ ounce crème de banana before shaking.
  • PEACH MAI TAI - Omit the Grand Marnier. Add 1 ounce peach schnapps before shaking
  • TROPICAL MAI TAI - A mix of Captain Morgan spiced rum pineapple juice and peach  syrup




PLANTERS PUNCH
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

1 ounce white rum
1 ounce gold rum
1 ounce dark rum
2 ounces sweetened bottled lime juice
¼ cup pineapple juice
¼ cup orange juice

Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice. Add all the ingredients,cover, and shake well. Strain into a highball glass with fresh ice.





HURRICANE
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

1 ounce white rum
½ ounce dark rum
2 ounces passion fruit juice
2 ounces lemonade
1 ounce orange juice
Juice of½ lime
½teaspoon grenadine syrup
Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice. Add all the ingredients,cover, and shake well. Strain into a highball glass or hurricane glass with fresh ice.

Here are some variations to this recipe:


  • HURRICANE (CATEGORY 2)  Increase the white rum to 1 ½ounces.
  • HURRICANE (CATEGORY 3)  Increase the white rum to 1 ½ ounces and add ½ ounce crème de banana before shaking.
  • HURRICANE (CATEGORY 4)  Increase the white rum to 1 ½ ounces, add ½ ounce crème de banana and ½ ounce peach schnapps before shaking.
  • HURRICANE (CATEGORY 5)  Increase the white rum to 1½ ounces, in-crease the dark rum to 1 ounce, and add ½ ounce crème de banana and ½ ounce peach schnapps before shaking



JUNE BUG
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

1 ounce Midori liqueur
¾ ounce Malibu rum
¾ ounce banana liqueur
2 ounces (¼ cup) pineapple juice
2 ounces (¼ cup) sweet & sour mix

GARNISH
maraschino cherry

Fill a 14-ounce glass with ice.2. Shake all liquid ingredients in a shaker andpour over the ice.3. Add a maraschino cherry and a straw.




STRAWBERRY RUM SMASH
TGI Friday's Recipe

7 mint leaves
2 strawberries, hulled
2 oz rum
3/4 oz lemon juice
1/2 agave nectar
2 lemon squeezes





ZOMBIE
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

¾ ounce white rum
¾ ounce dark rum
¼ ounce triple sec
¼ ounce apricot liqueur (such as Apry)
1 ½ ounces pineapple juice
1 ½ ounces orange juice
½ ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon almond syrup

Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice. Add all the ingredients,cover, and shake well. Strain over fresh ice in a tall glass



LIGHTS OF HAVANA
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

1 1/4 ounces coconut rum
3/4 ounce melon liqueur
2 ounces orange juice
2 ounces pineapple juice

Pour over 1 ounce of soda. In shaker, mix ingredients, pour over ice. Serve in a Collins Green Occasion glass. Garnish with orange slice and lime wheel.



BAHAMA MAMA
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

1/2 ounce gold rum
1/2 ounce coconut rum
1/2 ounce banana liqueur
1/2 ounce grenadine
1 ounce orange juice
1 ounce pineapple juice

Mix all ingredients in a shaker.
Serve in a Collins glass.

Ready to get your island on, mon? You’ll love this island-inspired cocktail made with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum and Malibu Rum, fresh lime juice and Coke.

A blend of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Myers’s Dark rum, Disaronno Amaretto, passion fruit purée and pineapple juice that will take you to the islands.
