Whiskey Cocktails


HAWAIIAN VOLCANO
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

1 ounce vodka
1 ounce amaretto liqueur
¾ ounce Southern Comfort
2 ounces (¼ cup) pineapple juice
2 ounces (¼ cup) orange juice
½ ounce lime juice
¾ ounce grenadine

GARNISH
orange slice
lemon wedge
lime wedge
maraschino cherry

Fill a 14-ounce glass with ice. Shake up all liquid ingredients in a shaker.Pour over the ice.3. Add an orange slice to the rim of the glass, then add a wedge of lemon and a wedge of lime into the glass. Finish it off with a maraschino cherry and a straw.





WHISKEY SOUR
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

2 ounces whiskey
1 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
Maraschino cherries for garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice. Add all the ingredients,cover, and shake well. Strain into a small cocktail glass filled with fresh ice and a maraschino cherry or two.


Variations on this recipe:


  • BLACKBERRY SOUR - Omit the whiskey. Add 2 ounces blackberry brandy before shaking.
  • ISLAND SOUR - Omit the whiskey. Add 2 ounces gold rum before shaking.
  • MEXICAN SOUR - Omit the whiskey. Add 2 ounces tequila before shaking.
  • SOUR CHERRY - Omit the whiskey. Add 2 ounces cherry brandy before shaking.
  • SOUR MONK - Omit the whiskey. Add 2 ounces Benedictine before shaking.
  • SOUR NUT - Omit the whiskey. Add 2 ounces amaretto before shaking
  • SOUR PEACH - Omit the whiskey. Add 2 ounces peach schnapps before shaking.
  • SOUTHERN SOUR - Omit the whiskey. Add 2 ounces bourbon before  shaking.






FRIDAY'S OLD FASHION
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe


2 oz blended whiskey
1 sugar cube
1 dash bitters
1 slice lemon
1 cherry
1 slice orange

Combine the sugar cube, bitters, and 1 tsp. water in an old-fashioned glass. Muddle well, add blended whiskey, and stir. Add a twist of lemon peel and ice cubes. Add slices of orange and lemon and top with the cherry. Serve with a swizzle stick.





FRIDAY'S MANHATTAN
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

1½ ounces blended whiskey
¼ ounce sweet red vermouth
¼ ounce dry white vermouth

Fill a cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice. Add all the ingredients,cover, and shake well. Strain into a small cocktail glass filled with fresh ice.

Here are some variations to this basic recipe:



  • DRY MANHATTAN - Omit the sweet vermouth and increase the dry vermouth to ½ounce. Garnish with a lemon twist.
  • LATIN MANHATTAN - Omit the whiskey. Add 1½ ounces gold rum before shaking. Garnish with a pineapple spear.
  • SWEET MANHATTAN - Omit the dry vermouth and increase the sweet vermouth to ½ ounce. Garnish with 1 or 2 maraschino cherries.




TENNESSEE PEACH
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe

5 ounces canned peaches in heavy syrup (from a 15-ounce can)
2 fresh limes
3 ounces (1/4 cup, plus 2 tablespoons) Tennessee whiskey
2 tablespoons sugar
Ice
Whipped cream for garnish (optional)

In a blender, puree peaches. Transfer peach puree to a separate bowl/pitcher. Rinse blender bowl and return to base. 

To make 2 cocktail drinks: Juice two limes, and pour juice into blender. Add whiskey, peach puree and sugar. Fill serving glass with ice, add ice to blender and repeat, adding another glass of ice. Blend until smooth. Pour into cocktail glasses. Garnish with whipped cream.





ALABAMA SLAMMER  
TGI Friday's Copycat Recipe


1 oz. vodka
1 oz. Amaretto
1 oz. Southern Comfort (or Peach Schnapps)
1.5 oz. Cranberry Juice
1.5 oz. Orange Juice
Cherry or Orange Wedge to garnish

Combine all of the ingredients into an ice filled cocktail shaker.  Cover, shake well, and pour into a Collins glass.
